Problem Note 48296: Facts for dimension member properties for a SAS® Financial Management supplemental schedule do not load

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

A SAS Financial Management supplemental schedule is an additional table that can be added to a data-entry form or read-only report to enable users to reference detailed information outside the financial model.

Beginning with SAS Financial Management 5.3, two staging tables have been added for supplemental schedule tables:

  • SUPP_SCHEDULE_DETAIL
  • SUPP_SCHEDULE_FACT

To load the data from these tables into the SAS® Solutions Data Mart, two SAS Financial Management jobs were added in SAS Financial Management 5.3:

  • fm_2200_load_ss_detail
  • fm_2210_load_ss_fact

As released, only fact records for dimension members that are used in a supplemental schedule can be loaded via the fm_2210_load_ss_fact job. Loading fact data for properties of dimension members that are used in a supplemental schedule is not currently supported. This data must be entered manually using the SAS® Financial Management Add-In for Microsoft Excel.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

Applying the hot fix enables fact data loading for dimension member properties that are used in a supplement schedule. Applying the hot fix also results in the following changes:

Changes in SAS® Tables

  • The MISC_FLG_COLUMN_NM column is added to the following tables:

    SAS_DIMENSION_TYPE
    DIMENSION_TYPE
    SOURCE_DIMENSION_TYPE

  • The dimension-type_FLG column for each dimension type_ID is added in the following table:
  • SUPP_SCHEDULE_FACT

Changes to SAS® Financial Management Jobs

  • solnsvc_0100_create_a_new_dimension_type

An additional parameter is added to this job dimension-type_FLG. This parameter is specified on the Options tab of the create_new_dimension_type transformation.

  • solnsvc_0200_load_stage_fm_dimension_type_table

After these changes have been made, use the dimension-type_FLG column to use D for dimension member and P for property member in the SUPP_SCHEDULE_FACT table.

After you apply the hot fix, you need to import the updated jobs and transformation in SAS® Data Integration Studio as follows:
